We gather up the latest van promotions for the 212 registration period.

As some normality returns to Ireland, it is a positive sign that new registration numbers for commercial vehicles are steady, showing a noticeable upturn over 2020’s figures and an improvement over 2019’s numbers year-to-date. Several brands are hoping to keep the momentum going with special offers for the 212 registration plate change, so we’ve gathered them together into one place.

Citroen

As the Citroen brand moves under the ownership of the Gowan Group in Ireland (which also distributes Peugeot and Opel), its LCV range will be available with a 3.9 per cent finance rate.

Opel

Opel Ireland currently offers buyers 0 per cent APR finance on its van range, including the electric Vivaro-e. The Combo Cargo, for example, starts at €259 per month for the 1.5-litre 75hp model. This is based on a purchase price of €19,032 (including VAT) and 48 payments with a trade-in or deposit of €6,000.

Meanwhile, the Opel Vivaro is available from €350 per month based on a deposit of €9,133, but you’ll need to pay a deposit of €16,025 and €450 per month for the electric Opel Vivaro-e. For the range-topping Opel Movano in L2H2 form, a deposit of €11,407 will result in monthly payments of €390 per month.

Peugeot

Peugeot is running a promotion across its entire range of LCVs that includes a scrappage offer of up to €4,000 and 0 per cent finance.

Renault

Renault Pro+ offers competitive finance options through Renault Bank that it claims can save buyers at least €3,000 in interest compared to what’s available through other banks. The 212 offer includes a 3.9 per cent APR hire purchase rate and a three-month payment deferral when taken up.

This offer applies to the Renault Master, Trafic and Kangoo models, and all come with a five-year warranty and five years of roadside assistance.

Volkswagen

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is running hire purchase finance from 3.9 per cent APR, along with purchase contributions of up to €3,500. Alternatively, there are PCP options that could get you into a new Caddy Cargo from €219 per month.

Rounding off the finance options is Volkswagen’s new leasing deal that lets you drive away in a new van with no deposit down. It includes tyres, servicing and maintenance and starts at €287 per month.
