How much is it to tax a camper van?

I'm looking to buy a camper for the family this summer, but how is it taxed? Is it the same price as a regular van? Do we need a VAT number to register it as a commercial?

Hi Peter,

Campers are easy to deal with, in terms of taxation. Anyone can buy one and register it as a camper. Campervan tax is a fixed €102 per annum.
