Toyota Proace Max debuts at Ploughing

The new Proace Max is now Toyota’s largest van

Toyota Ireland is debuting its latest van, the full-size Proace Max, at the National Ploughing Championships in Co. Offaly. The Toyota Proace Max marks the company’s first entry into the heavy-duty van segment, rounding out its commercial vehicle offering that also includes the smaller Proace and compact Proace City.

What’s the interior like?

The cabin of the Toyota Proace Max features the latest tech, including a seven-inch TFT colour instrument display and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring. The built-in reversing camera includes dynamic guidelines to aid manoeuvring, and numerous driver aids bolster the suite of safety systems. These include a pre-collision system with cyclist and pedestrian detection, while cruise control and automatic air conditioning make it more comfortable for the driver.

In total, there are six different sizes to choose from, based on two wheelbase options of 3,450 mm and 4,035 mm, three lengths that range from 5,413 mm to 5,998 mm to 6,363 mm, and three heights of 2,254 mm, 2,524 mm and 2,764 mm. These combinations provide cargo area volumes ranging from 10 m3 to 17 m3, with space enough to comfortably carry up to five Euro pallets.

What else is there?

Visitors to the National Ploughing Championship will also be able to see the latest Land Cruiser in commercial form and the Hilux GT Sport II that features an expanded stance and numerous Gazoo Racing details throughout the cabin. This sportier variant of the venerable pick-up is also equipped with rugged 17-inch wheels, red-painted brake calipers and upgraded suspension.

Toyota is also offering its customers KINTO One, an all-inclusive lease solution available to sole traders, partnerships, SMEs, and limited companies. The offering includes flexible contract terms of 24 to 60 months with no initial capital outlay needed. Kinto One is available for both a single vehicle and an entire fleet; it can be tailored to a business’s particular needs.

The all-in-one monthly cost includes the lease of the car, motor tax, and CVRT or NCT. Nationwide delivery is included for convenience, plus mileage and tyre packages, as well as fleet management. Businesses can avail of optional insurance from €65 per month.

Speaking ahead of the event, Zoë Bradley, Head of Marketing Communications and Corporate Affairs at Toyota Ireland, said, “The Ploughing Championships is more than just an event, it’s a vital connection to the heart of Ireland’s agricultural community. The vehicles we are bringing to Tullamore are just a glimpse into the full Toyota Professional range, which supports the needs of those who rely on their vehicles every day for demanding yet rewarding work.

“Our fleet is a testament to our commitment to the agriculture sector, from the style and strength of the new Land Cruiser to the power of the Hilux, and not to mention, the brand new Proace Max which brings even more practicality and versatility to our van range. Not only that, but Toyota offers several ways to access the Professional fleet and will be on the stand to bring customers through various leasing as well as purchase options.”
