Following a brief absence from the Irish market due to supply difficulties, Toyota has announced that the Land Cruiser 4x4 is once again available to order, with a limited number of vehicles arriving in dealerships from August.
The rugged off-roader will, Toyota said, be available to order in two guises: GX Commercial and Business, the latter being a full five-seater.
GX Commercial models will be available in both long- and short-wheelbase forms and feature a 9.0-inch central touchscreen display inside, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone mirroring, rear-view camera and cruise control as standard. Luggage/cargo-carrying volume is up to 640 litres. Power comes courtesy of a torquey 2.8-litre diesel engine developing 204hp, giving the Land Cruiser the capacity to tow up to three tonnes.
Land Cruiser Business models take the base spec of the GX Commercial and add a second row of seating and other creature comforts such as heated driver and front passenger seats and a leather interior. Both GX Commercial and Business models sit on 17-inch six-spoke alloy wheels.
Legendary status

Land Cruiser pricing
Pricing for the Land Cruiser starts from €47,100 for the short-wheelbase GX Commercial, ranging up to an entry point of €85,080 for the Land Cruiser Business. Likely to be the most popular model, the long-wheelbase GX Commercial starts from €48,465 or €695 per month on a Toyota PCP finance deal.
