INEOS, which first launched its Land Rover-rivalling Grenadier 4x4 three years ago, has given the big SUV an update for 2026, but it has retained the previous prices, meaning that the two-seat commercial Utility Wagon version is still priced from €59,995 ex VAT in Ireland.
What has changed for the 2026 Grenadier?
There have been some minor cabin tweaks for the Grenadier, including an updated infotainment system that now includes a shortcut to turn off the speed limit alarm. Behind the dashboard, there’s also a new heating and air-conditioning unit designed to improve cabin comfort.

In terms of looks, the Grenadier has not changed at all, but there is now a Black Edition featuring Inky Black paint, gloss-black 18-inch alloys, and blacked-out exterior trim.
How has the Grenadier been improved?
The primary mechanical improvement has been to the steering, which uses a worm-and-roller setup designed primarily for better off-road performance. In on-road driving, the Grenadier has been criticised for its slow steering and lack of self-centring.

Changes to the steering box for 2026, which include variable ratio steering for the first time, which lowers the steering ratio around the off-centre area, should help with those issues, and have the added benefit of shortening the Grenadier’s turning circle a little.
Otherwise, the BMW-sourced 3.0-litre diesel and petrol straight-six engines, the eight-speed automatic gearbox, and the high- and low-ratio four-wheel-drive transmission remain unchanged.

What are the Grenadier’s carrying abilities?
All Grenadier models offer a braked 3.5-tonne towing capacity, more than 2,000 litres of load space and the option to add up to 5.5 tonnes of winching power for recovering themselves or other vehicles. Payload weights range from 689kg for a fully optioned diesel Trialmaster Station Wagon to 871kg for a basic two-seat petrol Utility Wagon. The Grenadier Quartermaster pickup can handle a load of 875kg.
If you’re heading off-road, the Grenadier boasts 264mm of ground clearance, a 35.5 degree approach angle, a 28.2 degree breakover angle, and a 36.1 degree departure angle. Its maximum wading depth, without a snorkel, is 800mm.
