Chinese EV van brand, Farizon, sets up shop

Farizon, the Chinese EV van brand, has just appointed its first Irish dealers.

Frank Keane is the first dealership to take on the Farizon brand. This well-known Dublin-based dealer group will open its Farizon showroom in Ballymount, just off the M50 motorway.

Equally adjacent to that motorway is the M50 Truck and Van Centre, just off junction 5 of the M50, near Dublin Airport. Both have long histories behind them — the Truck and Van centre started life as far back as 1946 — and both, say Farizon, are recognised for: “their strong focus on commercial vehicle servicing, fleet maintenance and customer support.”

What is Farizon?

Farizon is a commercial vehicle brand launched by the giant Chinese carmaker Geely, and it now claims to be the Number One commercial vehicle brand in China.

Which models are we getting?

First up for Ireland is the Farizon SV, a medium-sized panel van designed on an EV-specific platform rather than adapted from a combustion-engined model.

The SV has a WLTP one-charge range of 397km, can tow up to 1,350kg, and has a cargo space of up to 13 m³.

How much is a Farizon SV?

Pricing in Ireland starts from €44,500, including VAT and the SEAI grant. Each vehicle comes with a five-year, 200,000km warranty and an eight-year, 200,000km battery warranty. Farizon Ireland offers a limited-time introductory deal on 261 registrations. Customers can choose a €1,500 trade-in bonus or a deposit contribution, along with a competitive 2.9 per cent HP finance rate.

Andrew Johnson, Farizon Ireland, stated, “The appointment of our first authorised dealers is a key step in establishing Farizon’s presence in Ireland. Both Frank Keane Farizon and M50 Truck & Van bring proven commercial vehicle expertise and strong aftersales capability. Together with the Farizon SV we are bringing a compelling new option to Irish fleet and commercial customers.”
